Shade sails
Cygnus Duo is the double-arm cantilever parasol that shades where two separate parasols would get in the way: eighteen square metres of continuous shade on a single pole. A business lunch on the terrace, the hotel lounge during aperitivo, the entrance to a business.

Each arm has its own piston: open only the one you need, leaving the other closed. Or both in just a few seconds, with a light touch on each side. A single base to position, no poles between the tables. When you need more coverage, the tidiest solution is to use just one post.

A dedicated gas piston on each arm: open only the side you need, leaving the other closed effortlessly.
A lever at the base unlocks the central pole: both canopies rotate together, a single gesture to change direction.
Solution-dyed acrylic fabric 260 g/m², UPF 50+, water-repellent: blocks over 98% of UV rays across both canopies.
Stitching designed at tension points. The airvent releases wind pressure from above. The velcro keeps each arm closed with no loose flaps.
Wider cross-section than the single Cygnus: supports the double cantilevered pull with a clear safety margin.
Fabric and frame combinations are defined in-house: coordinated colours, nothing left to chance.

Central pole, two cantilever arms, two Acrishade fabrics pre-mounted on the ribs, and installation accessories. Checked before dispatch.
One strap per fabric panel: keeps the cover neatly closed along the arm when at rest, with no loose edges catching the wind.
Illustrated step-by-step guide: pole anchoring, fitting both arms, and rotation adjustment.
For the first installation, we recommend having a second person on hand: the upright weighs over 50 kg and both arms must be secured to the pole before the canopies are opened. A step-by-step manual and video tutorial will guide you through the entire process.
Yes, and with the Duo many of our customers are restaurant owners, hoteliers, and lounge managers. Contact our customer service team for multi-unit quotes, B2B invoicing, and guidance on choosing the right fixing solution.
Yes, provided the building's regulations allow cantilever parasols of this size and the flooring can support the minimum ballast weight required. For Duo, we always recommend a fixed anchoring solution wherever possible.
No: the Duo upright (75×124 mm) is more robust than the single one (75×100 mm), and the arms have a dedicated fixing system. If you want to expand your shade coverage, it is worth considering the Duo or the Qadro from the outset.
Yes. There is a single lever at the base of the central pole: when you turn it, the entire pole rotates along with both arms, keeping the two-sail cross in any orientation you choose. It is the same 360° rotation as the single Cygnus, applied to a two-sail geometry.
Acrishade fabrics are water-repellent. If prolonged rain or winds above 25 km/h are forecast, close both arms: the two perimeter Velcro straps keep them neatly secured along the upright.
The Cygnus Single features one shade sail (3×3 m, 9 m²), the Duo has two shade sails side by side on the same pole (3×6 m, 18 m²), and the Qadro has four shade sails arranged in a cross formation on the central pole (6×6 m, 36 m²). All three share the same mechanism (gas piston, 360° pole rotation) and the same fabric — simply a larger footprint and coverage area as you move up the range.
Each arm has its own independent piston. Open the one you need, leave the other closed, or open both in just a few seconds. The same technology used in car boot lids — doubled up.
The fabrics block over 98% of UV rays. This is the highest rating on the UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) scale: the same protection as a factor 50+ sunscreen, consistently, for as long as you stay underneath.
It is a single opening at the top of each sail panel, without a flap. When wind builds up beneath the shade sail, the airvent releases it upwards: this reduces pressure and lowers the risk of the sail flipping over.
The rotation is of the central post, not of the individual canopies. There is a single lever at the base that unlocks the pole; you rotate it to the desired position and the two arms align together. To change the direction of the shade, all you need is one hand.
Up to 25 km/h. Above this threshold, we recommend closing both arms: the gas piston-assisted closure is quick, even before a sudden storm.
Two combinations: Graphite fabric with Anthracite frame, White fabric with Matt Anodizing frame. On the Duo, the colour choice is more limited compared to the single Cygnus, to ensure consistency with the contract segment this product is designed for.
Between 60 and 90 minutes the first time, including fitting the anchor points and assembling the two arms. Seasonal opening and closing is just a matter of minutes.
Yes, it's recommended. The pole is heavy (over 50 kg net) and both arms must be secured to the stem before the shade sails are opened. Working in pairs ensures safety and ease of installation.
Yes, and it is recommended for the Duo. For wooden decking, the wood deck anchor is the correct solution.
Each gas piston operates independently. Simply release the arm you need and leave the other one closed. The same process applies when closing – done in just a few seconds per arm.
Yes. Use lukewarm water, mild soap, and a soft sponge. Avoid solvents and high-pressure washers. Leave the fabrics to dry fully open, in the shade.
There is a single lever at the base of the central pole. Unlock it, rotate the pole in the direction you want, then lock it again. Both panels move together with the pole: the two-arm cross changes orientation but remains the same.
7 years on the frame (upright, arms, gas pistons, rotation levers, aluminium). 3 years on the fabrics (stitching, Acrishade fabric, textile accessories).
